Povodom gostovanja Ian Almond-a u Sarajevu, profesora na Georgia State University i autora nekoliko prominentnih dijela o islamskoj misli i Islamu na Zapadu, pozivamo vas da nam se pridružite na javnom razgovoru o Islamu u/i bh. medijima - postoji li otvorenost za kritiku, dijalog, drugačije poglede, postoje li (nerealna) očekivanja? Kako se sa različitim pitanjima vjere i Islama nose britanski mediji, posebice nakon 11. septembra?
Pored profesora Almonda, na razgovoru će nam se pridružiti: Muhamed Jusić, teolog i novinar; Faruk Borić, zamjenik glavnog urednika Oslobođenja; dr. Amir – ef. Karić, glavni imam Medžlisa u Tuzli.
Razgovor će se održati u Mediacentru, Kolodvorska 3, u srijedu, 26.05.2010. sa početkom u 17.00 h.

ISLAM and MEDIA in BH

On the occasion of guest lecturing of Ian Almond, Associating Professor at the Georgia State University, author of several prominent works on Islamic thought and Islam on the West, we are inviting you to join us at the public discussion on Islam and/in BH media. Is there space and openness for critique, dialogue, different views; are there (unrealistic) expectations? How do media in the UK deal with the different questions of faith and Islam, especially after September 11th?
Together with professor Almond, our guests are - Muhamed Jusić, theologist and journalist; Faruk Borić, editor of the daily paper Oslobođenje; Dr. Amir – ef. Karić, main Imam in Tuzla.
